Today Harrisville Township maintains 18.55 miles of township roads. Depending on the season this includes: snow and ice removal, roadside mowing, cleaning and maintaining ditches, sign repair and/or replacement, spot road repairs and road resurfacing.
The Township continually resurfaces our roads on a rotating and as-needed basis. We are very proud of the condition of the road surfaces in the Township and attribute that to a diligent, aggressive program of maintenance.
Currently there is one full-time and one part time employee handling these duties. Rick Matus, road Supervisor for Harrisville Township and Donna Bute is part time employee.
Very little work is contracted out. The Township does hire an outside contractor for the tar and chip seal of our roads through a yearly bid process.
Township equipment used to service the community includes:

2002 Sterling Dump Trunk

A Ventrac Tractor Mpwer

1999 Ford New Holland Tractor

1990 Case Backhoe

1988 Ford Dump Truck

1986 Champion Grader
