Our bicentennial is a celebration of that historic past and a look forward to our future.  The specific events of this bicentennial celebration give us special opportunity to come together with a sense of community.  Therefore, while together, it is important to honor our past and educate people about our heritage.  It is, however, equally important to use this time to look to the future and demonstrate hope for whatever might be the time ahead.
